The first graders went to Sharkarosa Ranch on thier fieldtrip this year. WHAT A NEAT PLACE!! We were able to be very close to the animals, even touch some of them. The staff were great at teaching the kids about the animals and introducing new vocabulary to them. K’s favorite animal was the baby bear. Enjoy!

We had a very relaxing spring break. One of the days I peeked out the front door to see the girls all playing with the wildflowers in the front yard, If I could have added their humming to the picture I would have. It was such a nice “spring moment”. On another one of the days, I tried to get pictures of the girls and Pepper. Whew!! This was the best I was able to get. On Tuesday we had a movies party. It was E’s idea to serve popcorn and hodogs since that it what they sell at the movie theater. I think the girls had a lot of fun. Then another day we painted. Friday we joined some friends who were camping up at the lake. And yes the fire was green Scott and I DID NOT photoshop that. Saturday I took the girls to see “the Princess and The Frog.” and I have to say that I was disappointed. The storyline, the songs, the “flow” of the movie just wasn’t up with the other Disney movies. The few things I did like about the movie was the idea that 1.) you have to work hard to make your dreams come true. and 2.) you have to keep your priorities straight. and 3) Family is important….(anyway back to pictures) I also put a picture of N’s school program, even though it was the week after spring break. Because we didn’t get our gigngerbread village made a Christmas, I decided to that we could create a Valentine Gingerbread village. We had a hard time getting two of the houses to stay together so Scott created his own “Frank Lloyd Wright” house. The girls landscaped their’s, and tried to create people and cars. All in all, it was a whole lot of Friday night fun.

On New Year’s Eve, we surprised the girl’s with a puppy. She is part siberian husky and part boxer. She is very sweet and socialable. The girls have really enjoyed her.

A while back I mistakely bought some facial tissue that had Vick Vapor Rub added to them. At the time, I told N that we would put them away for when we were sick.
Well, yesterday we were going to Wal-mart to pick up a few things, one of which was tissues because K and I were sneezing up a storm. A discussion began amoung the girls about how K was sick and I was getting sick. N turns to me and says “Mom, have you been using the STINKY kleenex?”
